One of the main stereotypes firmly embedded in the minds of buyers, "Chinese goods = bad quality". It should be noted that this stereotype, we have created by ourselves. In pursuit of cheapness, we voluntarily have bought tons of mass Chinese consumption for a song, and then we’ve resented on product’s fragility and criticized the Chinese for that they brought us what we asked - cheap rubbish!

Saying that China produces lower-quality product, most consumers assume Chinese goods that were littered with markets 10 years ago, and continue to flood them now. However, the new strategy of the China Commerce Ministry aimed to transform development pattern of China's foreign trade. It is a strategy of transformation of China from pricing recipient to pricing installer, quality and efficiency, consolidation and eliminating small business enterprises. Now the main focus is pointed on the competitiveness of Chinese exports with a view to establish itself as a quality-oriented business nation.

Never judge a book by its cover

World famous European and American brands of clothing is sewn in China (PROMOD, NAF NAF, Mexx, Mango, Adidas, Reebok, etc.). Domestic brands like Concept Club, Sela and Savage were created taking into account the Chinese manufacturing industry. Many brands are considering the prospect of tailoring products in China; it's good for business because of lower production costs. Value of garments in China (according to the information portal «ChinaPRO») in 2008 was amounted to $ 90 billion. Nowadays China is a world leader of clothing production. A few years ago we noticed uneven seams or defective product, but now it is difficult to distinguish Chinese models from Italian or Turkish, without looking at the tag. It must be admitted that Chinese manufacturers are coming forward in quantum leaps, not only increasing the volume of production, but also improving the quality of products.

Automotive Industry

Such global brands as Toyota, Ford, Mazda, Volkswagen, Honda, BMW, KIA have factories in China, and this list is endless. Parts, accessories and other cars "stuffing" are shipped from China and in case of using competent assembly they can last a long time and do not wear out. Largest automakers concentrate its industrial production in China. It is worth to note that according to some estimates, till 2020 the volume of car sales may increase to 20-30 million units. Accordingly, we can imagine factories and plants downloading in China.

Chinese car manufacturers (Cherry, BYD, FAW, Lifan, Dadi, Geely) has also entered in the international market. Wherein the quality of their products gradually increased and soon Chinese brands will no longer yield to the world famous Korean automakers.

If in 60-70s of last century, everyone was talking about the Japanese miracle, the world today is witnessing of Chinese one.

Household story

More than 85% of household appliances in the U.S.A are made in China, in Europe - 70 %. China produces more than 50% of all cameras in the world, 30% of air conditioners and 25% of washing machines.

Every day we use these household items and do not complain about the quality, and it again confirms demand of Chinese products. In fact, everything that surrounds us is anyway related to China.


Let us recall the most famous brand in electronics. Without hesitation bitten apple arises in our minds. Yes Apple. It's no secret that the production of the most popular phones, computers and other electronic gadgets from Apple is located in China. The plant Foxcon manufactures products for Apple, Sony, Dell, Cisco and many others.

Own factories and production facilities in the PRC have the following companies: Sony, Panasonic, Bork, Vinzer, Vitesse and others. Some time ago, these brands were «shying» of Chinese origin of their products, hiding them under the manufacturer's label like «Made in Germany». Now the quality of products manufactured in China has reached a very high level and inspires confidence among buyers. During the introduction of Chinese goods on world markets, the consumer has learned to differentiate the concept of «quality» from «savings».

What happens to the volume of international trade?

The volume of commercial transactions and mutual supplying between Russia and China since 2001 grows by an average of 20-25% per year and will increase even more rapidly.

China exports cosmetics, dietary supplements, tea, coffee, souvenirs, toys, etc. In turn, from around the world it imports raw materials (wood, pulp and paper products, crude oil and petroleum products, chemical products, metals). This kind of «cycle», центром которого является КНР, способствует стремительному экономическому росту поднебесной. Китай занимает второе место в мире по объему ВВП, сместив Японию на третью позицию. По итогам 2010 года ВВП КНР достиг 5,47 триллиона долларов. Специалисты агентства "Associated Press" считают, что при нынешнем развитии событий Китай в 2020- 2030 годах может выйти на первое место в мире, обогнав США. Over the past five years, Celestial Empire literally displaces all rivals and becomes a leader.

Many companies do not just appeal to Chinese factories with the technical specifications for the manufacture of their product, but also create their own production in China. The quality of products meets the highest requirements and the manufacturing cost is significantly reduced and allows us to purchase goods at a lower prices. According to research conducted by Nielsen, the vast majority of Slavic nations believe that the determinative factor in purchasing a product is its cost. Times of flashy packages and advertising slogans ended with the financial crisis, and we are increasingly paying attention to the price tag. Many of us seeing the label«MADE IN CHINA», often feel fear when purchasing this product. However, some companies still write on Chinese goods: «Made in Russia» or «Made in Ukraine» and we safely buy this, in essence, quality Chinese product.

The low cost of the products, even during the crisis, failed in consumer aspiration to buy «premier grade», product, in addition the low quality of cheap goods nullifies savings from their consumption. Realizing this, Chinese factories are on a course to improve the quality characteristics of the goods and corresponding increase of its value. Thus, the choice is up to the buyer, who nowadays pays great attention not only on cost, but also carefully examining the label and the product content.
